DuRite Epoxy Floors completed approximately 800 square feet of durable epoxy flooring at the UN Plaza loading dock in New York City. The system was designed with a silica sand broadcast to provide an anti-slip surface suitable for a demanding loading dock environment.

What We Did
Ground and mechanically prepared the existing concrete substrate to remove contamination and create a clean bonding surface.
Repaired cracks and surface imperfections before installation began.
Applied an epoxy primer to the prepared concrete to establish a strong foundation for the flooring system.
Applied a solid-color epoxy base coat across the loading dock area.
Broadcast silica sand into the epoxy surface to provide added texture and anti-slip resistance.
Applied a protective epoxy topcoat to encapsulate the broadcast aggregate and provide a durable, seamless finish.
